![]() ![]() They are more so now than they ever have been, so we will go ahead and style it and build it, so that they can get used to it. The average public is not thinking of the future. Shall we say, like, Ed and myself, which are stylists, we are thinking of the future. The Koncepts of the Future will probably be so far ahead that nobody'll accept them, and to build something like this, like way back in 1935 when they built the Chrysler Airflow, they couldn't accept it. And sealing the body in one piece-we'd been doing that way back in '39 and '40-sealing the fenders into the body. Same way with the thin top line and the lower top-this was picked up by Chrysler, but we were doing it way back in '40, '41, '43, and '45. And the low hoodline, that came out with the '49 Ford-we were doing that in '41 with the '41 Ford-by sectioning and making the small pancaked hood. Such as way back when I came up with frenched headlights, frenched taillights, and the scoop on top of the fenders-well, five years later that come out on the '55 Pontiac.
